Your profile

You are a striking, inspiring personality, who possesses a strong sense of interpersonal relationships and a healthy dose of entrepreneurial spirit. You have a clearly defined vision on fashion, and specifically on fashion design, in the 21st century, rooted in your own (critical) design practice. In addition, you have a unique view on fashion education, supported by both theory and practice, which is focused on the – both personal and professional – values and development of the students. You are able to use your natural entrepreneurial spirit to contribute to the development of the vision for fashion education and research at the Graduate School, with a high level of national and international prestige. You also have a Master’s degree, good proficiency of the English language, and have extensive experience in the field of fashion design and education in an international context. Experience in fund raising and grant making is preferred.

Our offer

You will receive a temporary contract for a year, starting as soon as possible, preferably from 1 July 2017 until 30 June 2018 for the equivalent of 0.6 FTE. In case of good performance there is the possibility of an extension for a year, with a view to make the appointment permanent. The gross monthly salary is a minimum of € 4,722 and a maximum of € 5,751 (Category Programme Head B, salary scale 13) on the basis of a 36-hour work week. In addition to an informal and open work atmosphere we offer attractive employment conditions according to the collective labour agreement CAO-HBO, such as 8% holiday pay, an 8.3% end-of-year bonus and good further study and development opportunities. The work location is in Arnhem.
