Arcintex network meeting in Barcelona - November 30 to December 2, 2016

With the theme ‘From research to realisation’, the next Arcintex network meeting will take place in and around Barcelona. The meeting will focus on educational and industrial research within technological developments and new ways to work with and in textile materials. 

The three days the meeting lasts will mark a journey from research to realisation and how this creates potentials and challenges. In the meeting this journey will be underlined by having the meeting at a different venue each day.

Day 1: Valorising research – Elisava, Barcelona

Day 2: The challenges of explorative production – Eurecat, Canet de Mar

Day 3: Merging textile techniques with other disciplines – Eurecat, Màtaro

Activities will be a combination of presentations of research projects, speculation and discussion on the role of textile technological developments in society and the opportunity to work hands-on with materials
